Oravel Stays, OYO's Parent Company, to Open 25 Premium Hotels Under 'SUNDAY' Brand This Fiscal Year

Travel tech giant OYO's parent company, Oravel Stays, is doubling down on its luxury segment. The company announced today plans to open 25 new premium hotels under its 'SUNDAY' brand across India by the end of this fiscal year.

This aggressive expansion strategy aims to tap into the growing demand for upscale accommodations in the country. SUNDAY Hotels, a joint venture between Oravel Stays and Softbank Group, currently operates three properties in Jaipur, Vadodara, and Chandigarh.

The company has identified key travel destinations like Gurgaon, Manesar, and Corbett for its upcoming launches. With a focus on prime locations offering proximity to business districts, cultural landmarks, and entertainment hubs, SUNDAY Hotels aims to cater to both business and leisure travelers seeking a premium experience.

Aditya Sharma, Business Head of Oravel Stays, expressed confidence in the brand's potential, stating, "Expanding into metropolitan cities like Gurgaon is a natural step for SUNDAY Hotels as we continue to grow our footprint and meet the evolving needs of our guests."

This development marks a significant move by OYO to diversify its portfolio and compete in the burgeoning luxury hotel market. Industry analysts believe this expansion could potentially reshape the competitive landscape in the hospitality sector.
